2017 Wrap-Up! End of Year Survey

Might or might not have stolen this from the wonderful Ilsa. Survey created by the Perpetual Page Turner.

I’m not going to answer every question because omg it’s so long?! 😩 But this still seemed like a lot of fun so let’s hop to it!

That’s a lot of pages.

Ilsa used some sweet pie charts so I thought I’d make a couple too???? Made from Canva.

I need to read more historical fiction!! I cannot believe I read so little in 2017!

Well, I think it’s pretty clear that I am incredibly lenient when it comes to reviewing books. I just hate the idea of hurting someone’s feelings??? But there were a few books I read in 2017 where I look back on and I definitely don’t think they were enjoyable as 3 stars, but oh well! Maybe I’ll become more critical in 2018.

This didn’t surprise me very much. Longer books I simply find intimidating. It’s much easier to pick something up that is short and sweet. 👌🏻

Best Book You Read In 2017?

This is sooooo hard. It’s a tie between Crooked Kingdom and A Gathering of Shadows.

This makes even more sense if you’ve read A Gathering of Shadows 😂 👌🏻

Book That Made You Cry Or Nearly Cry in 2017?

Crooked Kingdom made me ugly cry. 😭

Hidden Gem Of The Year?

That would be A List of Cages by Robin Roe. I normally don’t read from the Contemporary genre, but that book is pure gold. 👌🏻

Best moment of bookish/blogging life in 2017?

The best moment of my blogging life in 2017 is the fact that I started my blogging life back in March. Can’t get much better than that!

Most challenging thing about blogging or your reading life this year?

The most challenging thing for both blogging and reading is just finding the time to sit down and do it. Real life really tends to get in the way! 😩

One Thing You Hope To Accomplish Or Do In Your Reading/Blogging Life In 2018?

I really would like to become more consistent and active in the blogosphere. I’d like to reach 500 followers if possible. I’d like to expand my reach on Bookstagram too. Taking photos is very, very fun and I enjoy it a lot. 😌

  1. Despite owning Crooked Kingdom, for, like, a year, I still have not read it yet. Like, what the actual heck is wrong with me??? It’s on the list for 2018, though, because I’m DETERMINED TO FINISH SERIES. I so agree; making time for reading and blogging is super difficult, and that’s probably the reasons why I flopped so hard when it came to my reading challenge! >_< Wonder, The Lost Hero, Scythe, and This Savage Song are all wonderful books, so I hope you get to them soon! I also need to read The Handmaid's Tale, especially since I love the show a lot! ❤

    • I know I’m so obsessed with Rifle Paper Co so I was so excited to see she was doing book cover designs! I hope she does more! 🤞🏻

Same! I’m planning on reading Wonder very soon!
